Concerned Dog Owners of California

CDOC LEGISLATIVE GRID

There are two key reasons that we are seeing legislation proposed that would have disastrous impact on the health and well-bring of dogs as well as the rights of responsible dog owners.

The first, and most critical, is the lack of knowledge among the Sacramento legislators about dogs and how to address the issues of shelter populations. With term limits, the challenges of education are even greater.

The people proposing the legislation are also not knowledgeable. Rather than trying to resolve a problem by looking at best practices around the world, their response is always more MSN, breed specific legislation and more limit laws.

So it is left to the people who love dogs, who enjoy their company and who want their grandchildren to also have that option, to take over the job of educating, making legislators aware of solutions that work and taking the time to provide statistical information, rather than guessing at numbers, on the actual problem.

So we need you. We need 120 volunteers who will commit to make trip to their District office once each quarter with updated information. CDOC will provide the packages; we need constituents to be the liaisons.

If you are willing to help with this most important project, please check that option on the volunteer form here.
